Jim
and Cheryl Manfredonia were married on December 28, 1985 (the Feast of the
Holy Innocents) and are the parents of three children – Joseph (19),
Angela (17 and Anthony (15). They have been involved in Catholic
music ministry since 1990 and Catholic radio in the Philadelphia area
since 1995. They hosted a morning drive-time radio program on Monday
and Friday mornings
at 8:00 AM
on New Jersey Catholic Radio 89.3.FM. Cheryl also hosted a weekly program
on sacred music called “Catholic Music History”. Since 1996 Jim
has hosted a daily
program, “Come To Me” Monday through Friday from 3:00 to 4:00 pm. He reads
from, and reflects on, the many writings of Pope John Paul the Great, as well as
the Catechism of the Catholic Church, Sacred Scripture and various
spiritual writers. Jim has had many guests
join him including Father Benedict Groeschel, Dr. Scott Hahn, Mother
Angelica, Father John Corapi, Cardinal Anthony Bevilacqua and Father
Andrew Apostoli who now acts as Spiritual Advisor for the Domestic Church
Media Foundation.
Jim has also had articles
about Catholic family life published in Catholic Digest Magazine.
Cheryl serves as Director of Music, organist and
choir director in their parish, Queen of the Universe in Levittown, PA. Jim also serves as cantor and
provides the music at the Saturday evening 5:30 PM Vigil Mass. Jim, Cheryl and their children sometimes provide the music on
the Channel 6 TV Mass in Philadelphia. They have recorded four (4) CD’s

In 2003 Jim and Cheryl incorporated their
non-profit family Apostolate, Domestic Church Media Foundation, that is dedicated to
promoting the cause of marriage and family life through Catholic media.
Through their Foundation they hope to expand their apostolate and continue
to heed Pope John Paul II’s call to build up a civilization of love
through Catholic radio and television.
In September, 2005, they opened New
Jersey's first full-time Catholic radio station - 89.3 FM in Monmouth
County. They are currently negotiating the purchase of a large AM
station that would cover a number of counties in New Jersey as well as
parts of Bucks County and northeast Philadelphia in Pennsylvania. It is their prayer that they will soon be able to bring Catholic
radio to other parts of New Jersey, New York City and Pennsylvania.
